Harley ECU Issues?
First, since ECU’s are rarely faulty we always check these concerns first before replacing a unit:
- Check the pins
- The connectors can get iffy as they are not made to be unplugged and re-plugged.
- Often caused when unplugging units to access batteries instead of moving ECU’s out of the way
- Crimping the individual ends can work but we suggest just replacing problem points.
- Check your grounds!
- Check your sensors!
- Wonky ECU responses can be caused when bad info is used to process data
- The connectors can get iffy as they are not made to be unplugged and re-plugged.
